Produzent und Autor Tony Catania (Antonio Nunzio Catania) meldet sich mit seinem neuen Projekt "The Tony Catania Project" zurück in der Welt elektronischer Dance-Musik. Tony kann auf eine erstaunliche Karriere zurückblicken: mit über 30 Millionen verkauften Tonträgern zählt er weltweit zu den erfolgreichsten Produzenten überhaupt.

Zu seinen größten Erfolgen zählen neben Produktionen für R Kelly, Usher oder Pitbull auch Kooperationen mit Pop-Größen wie Joe Cocker, Jennifer Rush oder Queen. Zu seinen größten Hits zählt vor allem der „Scatman“ von Scatman John – ein sensationeller Song, der im Radio noch heute gern gespielt wird(.. und wer erinnert sich nicht an den sympathischen Stotterer mit Hut und Schnauzer!). In den 90ern war er der Macher von R'n'G und verantwortlich für Hits wie „Rhythm Of My Heart“ oder „Open up your Mind“.

Das ist alles lange her und nach einer längeren Schaffenspause ist er zurück und wie: für sein neues Projekt konnte er mit dem Newcomer Yung Phantom eine perfekte Ergänzung zu der auffordernden und stark hitverdächtigen Hookline von Ravenna gewinnen.

Neben dem fetzigen Original Club Mix überzeugt diese erste Single mit einem sehr spannenden Remix-Paket: u. a. dabei sind G&G (… bekannt durch ihre eigenen Releases wie den letzten # 1 Club-Hit „My My My“ oder „Endless“ sowie diversen Produktionen auf Planet Punk), Giorno (… einem der zurzeit erfolgreichsten Remixer und mit seinen Produktionen und Remixen quasi in jedem aktuellen Plattenkoffer zu finden), Sean Finn (… wer kennt nicht seine letzten Club-Hits „Show me Love 2K12“, „Such a good Feeling“ oder brandaktuell „Riders on the Storm“) und RainDropz! DJ and Producer Tony Catania, globally successful writer, producer and performer, is back with his latest project that is a labor of love. As someone who has made a career developing artists for major label stardom, his greatest success to date is the world-renowned Scatman John, whose signature vocal at the beginning of Scatman (Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop) is indelibly etched in the musical minds of more than one generation. With more than 22 million records sold Tony Catania knows a thing or two about great talent, hit songs and a production for the time.

Now Tony is taking his talent as a producer and writer and sharing it with up and coming artists, giving them the platform to launch their own careers by sharing the spotlight as the voice of the Tony Catania Project. The “project” is a loosely configured group of multiple singers and rappers who perform these undeniable hit melodies that are the creation of Mr. Catania. First up the spotlight is squarely on an American based rapper, Yung Phantom. With all the charm and charisma one would expect from a veteran stage performer “Phantom” charms the ladies with his mischievous smile and the twinkle in his eye. The guys relate to his raps, his rhymes and he has bundles of charisma to share with everyone! “DJ Rock This Party!” is the first track from the Tony Catania Project and it is truly an international affair.

The original track was written and recorded at Tony’s home studio in Germany. The vocal is by a young Dutch singer, Ravenna. From there the track made its way to Tony’s studio in Florida where his team got to work and Yung Phantom’s vocal was added. The video was yet another project. Since Ravenna was unable to make the trek to film a performance piece, the team had to find a performer who would jump off the screen and give the impression that she was a girl who was infatuated with the D.J., knew all the songs he played and lived for the club life. That they did with a young lady from Texas. The video was shot over a two day period in one of the most popular resorts for the rich and famous in the entire United States, Naples, Florida. So here we are with what is destined to be one of the big hits of the coming months. “DJ Rock This Party” is the very first single by The Tony Catania Project. It is just the beginning...

The official release featuring remixes by G&G (… famous for their own # 1 club releases „My My My“ or „Endless“ and various productions on Planet Punk), Giorno (… German shooting star of the dance and hands-up scene well known from various remixes and his latest own release „1,2,G!“), RainDropz! VS. AlexKea (… well known because of his latest high energy hands-up productions placed on big selling Future Trance compilation etc.), Crystal Rock (.. another upcoming producer for high quality hands-up productions!), Noll & Kliwer and none less than Sean Finn (… Europe’s hottest DJ & producer of the year 2K12 / # 1 hits “Show me Love” and “Such a good Feeling”) is scheduled for spring 2013.. Additionally the label also is planning an official release on the “old school” formats 12” vinyl + CD single. Friends, a big hit is coming up here… so: „DJ! Rock this Party!!!“ ;)
